Looking for a referee clinic? or how to apply to be a referee?

BC Soccer offers clinics appropriate for your pathway whether you are an experienced referee new to British Columbia or new to refereeing.

The minimum age to become a referee is 12 years old by March 31st of the current year (Small Sided) or 14 years old by March 31st of the current year (Entry Level).

Small Sided Clinic:

  • Minimum 12 Years old (on or before March 31st of the current year)
  • Able to Officiate U8-U12 matches and commence being an Assistant Referee for Full Sided matches

Entry Level Clinic:

  • Minimum 14 Years old by or on the day of the clinic (on or before March 31st of the current year)
  • Able to Officiate Full Sided matches both as a Referee and as an Assistant Referee
